Why do stains reappear after carpet cleaning?

You just had your carpets professionally cleaned. They look great and you’re super happy! However, you wake up the next day and ugh!, that pesty stain is back. WHY?!

Why Stains Reappear

Stains reappear because there’s padding under your carpet that acts as a giant sponge allowing the stain to settle under the carpeting. When your carpets are professionally cleaned, we’re able to reach the roots of your carpeting and eliminate the stain from your carpet and its roots. As your carpet dries, the stain is pulled to the surface from the rug pad.

We know and understand this can happen. But don’t worry, because you chose Woodard for your carpet cleaning, we’ll come back and hit the spot again, free of charge. We simply ask that you notify our Customer Response Team that the spot resurfaced within a few days of your cleaning.

What else can you do to help prevent stains? ….Scotchgard™!

Scotchgard™

During your carpet cleaning you can have Scotchgard™ applied to help fight against stains. Scotchgard™ is a topical treatment that can be applied after your carpet cleaning. Plus, when you apply Scotchgard™ we’ll include our Spot & Spill Guarantee! So, if a new spot or stain surfaces on an area treated with Scotchgard™ 6-months after the application, we will clean the spot for free!
