Our company began in 1946 when Earl and Nancy Woodard began to offer their customers in-home rug cleaning door-to-door — an innovation at the time. Justin Woodard — grandson to Earl and Nancy, and son of Charlie Woodard — continues the family legacy as he owns and oversees Woodard’s operations.

As an Army Air Corps navigator during World War II, Earl Woodard’s plane was shot down over occupied France. Escaping on foot through the Pyrenees Mountains, Earl eventually found freedom in Spain, was reunited with the allied forces and honorably returned home to St. Louis.
Upon his return, Earl and his wife, Nancy, started a carpet cleaning service that operated out of a canvas-covered trailer pulled by their only family car. Customer by customer, Earl and Nancy grew the Woodard business from these humble beginnings in 1946 to become the areas most trusted resource for carpet, rug and furniture cleaning.
In 1985, Woodard began expanding their services, emerging as the Midwest’s leading restoration services provider for fire, smoke and water damage, as well as for construction services. This success, along with our unrelenting commitment to customer service, earned the respect of business owners, insurance companies and customers alike.
