Reducing the Spread of COVID-19 in Workplaces

Follow our guide on reducing the spread of COVID-19 in workplaces for tips on making sure your place of employment doesn’t have an outbreak. These tips include:

nVIRO Shield Regularly

One of the best ways to keep your environment safe is to have nVIRO Shield sprayed regularly in your facility. nVIRO Shield is effective against SARS/Cov2 that causes COVID-19. Our EPA-approved disinfectant will also help protect you and your staff against the common cold and the flu. Unfortunately, we will continue to battle COVID-19 while adding on cold and flu season.

nVIRO Shield will also help reduce the spread of COVID-19 because of our application process. We charge the disinfectant solution to be positively charged so that during the spraying process it clings and spreads around everything around us (which is negatively charged). This is a huge benefit for those who rely on a hand cleaning processes. When you rely on hand cleaning, you will experience human error and spots will be missed and not properly disinfected. With nVIRO Shield, you can eliminate human error, and each spot that is spray is disinfected.

Stay Home

If you have employees that are feeling ill, it’s best to encourage them to stay at home. While some folks may assume they have allergies or a common cold, it could be early signs of COVID-19. To ensure the safety of your other employees, any employee who feels ill should be asked to stay home.

While employees who are feeling under the weather should definitely stay home, it’s also good to encourage folks to work from home regularly. We know first hand that for some businesses it’s just not possible to have everyone working from home. If you do have staff in the building, make sure they are spaced out 6 feet apart. If possible, provide them their own work environment that can be closed off from everyone else so they have a safe space to regularly work in.

Promote Handwashing

It’s one of the easiest things you and your staff can do to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in your facility, school, or business.

If you need a little extra help washing your hands, just ask Google or Alexa to “help me wash my hands” and they will provide you with a fun little song to make sure you properly wash your hands each and every time!

Provide Proper Cleaning Supplies

To ensure you are reducing the spread of COVID-19 in your workplace, make sure that you supply those in the building with the proper cleaning supplies to keep their area and common areas around them clean. One effective way to reduce the spread of germs is to set up a station when folks walk in. If you’re in St. Louis County, masks are required in all buildings. This is a great place to set a box of masks for individuals to take and a jar of hand sanitizer to disinfect your ha.

Another tip that is also beneficial in reducing the spread of COVID-19, is to place hand sanitizer throughout the building where staff will be. This will reduce the number of germs that end up on common touchpoints. Employees should also be reminded to frequently wash their hands with soap and water when available or disinfect with hand sanitizer.

Face Coverings

While it’s not always comfortable, face coverings and masks significantly help in reducing the spread of COVID-19. Wearing a mask protects both you and those around you! For more information on wearing masks, visit the CDC.

By following these tips to reduce the spread of COVID-19 you will also reduce the spread of common colds and the flu. Don’t forget, we are entering cold/flu season!
