Rug Repair

Woodard has a $5 fuel charge for each trip, so for rug pick-up and delivery, there is a $10 fuel charge. We service a 50 mile radius of St. Louis. Pick-up and delivery to areas outside of our normal service area are determined on a case-by-case basis.

Most rugs can be completed within 10 days. Our expert technicians will inspect your rug and give you a turnaround time based on the specific repair needed.

For fringe repairs, we will either repair or replace damaged fringe.

During even and twine repairs, we expose the warp foundation cords that make up a hand knotted rug’s fringe when finished, and we tie consecutive knots on the warp cords all along the end, preventing the ends from unraveling for many years. This is an authentic repair with a finished look.

In rug serging and binding repairs, our professional repair technicians will use specialized industrial machines that are capable of recreating the serged and bound factory edges commonly found on area rugs. Often, this involves cutting these pieces to size and applying serging or binding, and/or removing existing worn out finishes and replacing them with new.

Through rug patching and reweaving, we can typically repair all types of rugs within a quick turnaround time. Your rug expert will be more specific after inspecting your rug.

We will complete rug backing repairs by either mending or replacing the rug backing.
