We are exclusive providers of the MOR™ Rug Cleaning System, which was invented and manufactured by the MOR™ Company, and has proven most reliable in thoroughly and delicately cleaning all sorts of rugs for more than 75 years. With this system, each rug will go through four stages, including soap injection, brushing (which agitates and loosens soil), rinsing and extraction.

A Woodard expert technician will perform our standard process of assessment and treatment to ensure the best care for your rugs, including:

1. Detailed pre-cleaning inspection with list of recommendations for your rugs
2. Analysis to determine any areas requiring special attention
3. Vacuuming to loosen any soil and debris
4. Pre-treatment of any spots and stains
5. Rug cleaning by the safest method possible, based on its material and condition
6. Application of topical treatments as necessary/requested
7. Grooming of the rug until it achieves a uniform appearance
8. Hanging the rug in our humidity-controlled drying room, which limits risk of color run and shrinkage
9. Once dried, inspection of the rug to ensure it meets Woodard’s high standards of quality. If we are not satisfied with its appearance or condition, we will repeat our process until we achieve this standard.
10. Rolling up and wrapping of the rug to keep it fresh and clean

Every rug we clean gets a complete evaluation to determine the condition of the rug and the type of fiber and dyes used in its construction. This allows us to determine whether it needs hand cleaning. Following evaluation of your rug, we will customize a rug cleaning process specific to its needs.

We will inspect your rug carefully to determine what method is safe to use. Our area rug cleaning technicians are trained, experienced and certified to handle your investment properly.

You should allow 10 business days for cleaning. We will contact you if we expect it to take longer. If your rug also needs alternations, that may take longer depending on For your convenience, we offer pick-up and delivery services across St. Louis and surrounding areas.

It’s time for a rug cleaning if you:

• Rub your palm on the rug for a few seconds and your hand becomes dirty.
• Kneel down on the rug and smell a foul odor.
• Lift a rug corner, vigorously shake it up and down and see a dust cloud.
• Fold a corner of the rug back, away from the pile to expose the base of the fibers and see dirt deep in the pile.

Depending on the traffic it endures, we recommend professional area rug cleaning every one to two years. If you have pets, smokers or people with respiratory illnesses in your home, we recommend more frequent cleaning.

We will be happy to give you a professional estimate for cleaning and necessary repairs to help you make an informed personal decision.

We cannot guarantee stain removal, so please call us as soon as you notice a stain. Taking care of it sooner rather than later increases our chance of success.

Possibly, depending on the extent of the damage. Another concern would be with the water and dampness from the leaky pot potentially causing the foundation of the rug to become brittle. Please give us a call so we can evaluate your rug for free.

We have been successful in removing soot and fire odor in most cases. However, we cannot guarantee this.

Although we can remove all the urine and pet waste from the rug by cleaning it thoroughly, the stain and odor may still be visible.

Usually, we are able to remove all pet odors, but we cannot 100% guarantee it.

Woodard has a $5 fuel charge for each trip, so for rug pick-up and delivery, there is a $10 fuel charge. We service a 50 mile radius of St. Louis. Pick-up and delivery to areas outside of our normal service area are determined on a case-by-case basis.

Yes, that is included in our service. We would appreciate your being at home to instruct us where you would like the furniture placed.

We will gladly move most furniture pieces to safely retrieve your rug. However, some particularly heavy pieces, such as pianos, need to be moved prior to our arrival. We also ask that you remove all small breakable items from the tops of any furniture that will need to be moved.

Yes. After cleaning all area rugs, we wrap them in a long-lasting brown paper, which is appropriate for storing if needed.

Unfortunately, with as many rugs as we clean on a daily basis, we are not able to store area rugs.

Yes. Our insurance covers your property when it is entrusted to us for repair, service and delivery.
